NDIS Pricing Arrangements & Price Limits

NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (pehle “NDIS Price Guide”) help participants and disability support providers understand how pricing controls for supports and services work within the NDIS. These rules ensure participants receive value for money.NDIS+1

Key Points:

  • Support Catalogue lists all available supports and the corresponding price limits and claim types (e.g., travel, non-face-to-face) for each item.

  • Price Limits are the maximum amounts registered providers can charge. However, participants and providers may negotiate lower prices. These rules apply when supports are delivered to NDIA-managed or plan-managed participants.NDIS+1

How Pricing Decisions Are Made

  • NDIA uses a mixture of market data, research, and public/industry consultation to inform pricing.

  • Major changes are introduced through the Annual Pricing Review, effective each year from 1 July.

  • Ongoing updates ensure the approach:

    • Better meets the needs of participants, carers, and providers.

    • Remains affordable and sustainable for future generations.

  • Decision-making involves expert committees, financial benchmarking, and working groups.NDIS+1
